University of Pittsburgh

Financial Aid Application

How to Apply

We encourage newly admitted students to apply no later than either one month after acceptance or by April 1 to ensure that an award letter is provided prior to April 30.  Any student admitted after April 1st will have 1 month from their admit date to submit their financial aid application without penalty.

Upperclassman should provide all required information (detailed below) no later than April 19, 2017. Keep in mind that the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) should be submitted prior to April 1 to ensure that your application results are available prior to the deadline, allowing the federal government processing time. You are responsible for providing all of your application materials in a timely manner and prior to the deadline. Failure to do so jeopardizes your eligibility for some sources of financial aid. Applications received after April 19 will be considered in the order received, as funds remain available.
